Hello,

A client of mine is considering taking on a new employee, but they want to give him a trial first, probably three days. They intend to pay him, does he have to go the payroll?

Many thanks

Nicola

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

Hi Joanne,

Thank-you, he has another job at the moment, part time so a BR code would be correct wouldn't it?

Hi Nicola

Get him to fill in a P46 (OK for the purists out there, whatever the damned form is called now wink - new starter form). Yep BR I would say - the software should pick that out when you enter the P46 details.
