Just completed a furnished holiday let TR and I'm getting the following error
If there is an occurrence of [PRO5-19] without box 18 on page UKP 1 of form SA105, then box 20.2 on page UKP 2 of form SA105 and the box 5.2 on page UKP 1 of form SA105 from that occurrence must either both be submitted or both be absent.
I take that to mean that if a client has both FHL and normal property let then accrual must be on both or cash basis on both. Only problem is that he only has FHL and that is all that is on tax return. I'm using taxfiler if that makes any difference.
Many thanks in anticipation.

Not had a chance to look at what you describe on Taxfiler as just had major grief with another matter which I was just about to post having spent the last hour on the phone to HMRC.
Have you tried filing using the HMRC software that's what I just did just to get me out of trouble today and avoid the late filing penalty

I may well have to do that, which is extremely annoying as there's heaps of other stuff to include.
EDIT: Going on what someone on aweb, I created another property page with 0 property, and not ticking FHL, with everything else left blank, and wallah, I was able to file.
Will have to get on to Taxfiler in the morning because that was a right curveball.

Talk about taking things to the wire....oh wait, there is still a couple of hours yet! Ha
This year I was determined not trying to beat the midnight hour, and indeed was pretty much on track, despite only having half the bookkeeping complete for one client.
Settled down at 1 am Thursday morning intending to sleep til about 8.30. Woke up at 2.40 for the loo, and could I eckers like get back to sleep, finally got up at 5 am, knocked out a couple of tax returns, caught up on a couple of TV programs then went back to bed.
Started at 4 pm, Got my last tax return in (mine) at 11.45 pm, although that would have been about 11.15 had I not had a late one sprung on me at 10.30 pm! I knew it was coming, (newish Ltd Co client who had not mentioned wanting me to do personal tax, then panicked) but not that late, and had promised (before my sleepless night) that I'd do it as a one off. To be fair I was kicking myself that I hadn't mentioned previously about doing the SA. That one went in at 12.20 but I had forewarned her it would probably be late. Earned a lot of brownie points there, which could well lead to other work, which is why I did it.
Then yesterday I went to see a guy who I sometimes fix computer issues for, but had not heard from for about 18 months. I'd mentioned it had been a late night the day before finishing off tax returns. Oh, when does mine have to be in? Er, yesterday. Our last contact was him asking me how much I'd charge for a TR as he had just moved in with a lady friend and was renting his own property out. I quoted a price and never heard no more! Anyway I've gained that one so a worthwhile visit.

Sounds like you had as much fun as I did
