ive used sage and xero - more sage tho and i love excel as its just simple. i do vat returns, end of year & about to do a previous year books for a sole trade / partnership which the accountant wants the full trial balance for. what do you recommend for such tasks please.

Hi
Can you add your first name so it appearsunder the signature bar on all posts, saves folk looking it up each time.

Before we go any further....

Who is your MLR with?

Have the AAT agreed you can do such work?

Hi again again, haha.

Yes for MLR I mean Money laundering. So you are registered with HMRC.

Have you got your PII in place?

Best to populate the software answers on the other posts peeps

Get that insurance before you doing ANYTHING else. To prevent a claim over your assets and children!

If you are just doing bookkeeping try the one mentioned on site, you will likely get a discount (tell them you are not a member of BKN but a user of the forum).

Will post a link if I get a mo, although I think John (forum name Leger) did about two weeks back so you should find it by having a read.

Don't think you can any more. Used to be an option with a range of plans, but think everyone is just a forum user now. Just be careful on the application/email with it to say you aren't a member. You should still get the discount. As long as you don't wang Accountancy cover, although if you do they can still get you quotes.
