Accounting for everyone?

Hi everyone, Is accounting for everyone 12 module online course for £50 any good?? Anyone recommend this, reading the website it looks very interesting and clear way of learning. Sometimes reading my Kaplan text books and testing on myaat can get a little tedious this could just give my knowledge a boost and help me towards my work plus my exams?? Thoughts? Or any other people would recommend? Thanks

Hi Shoncee
Didn't you ask this on another post?
I'm just wading through the replies now and not much time today/this week.

Did you say that you only started on AAT level 4?

Hi again Shoncee
I would be tempted to steer away from that course you mentioned. In truth Ive never heard of it but when they advertise as the 'worlds' best I find they often are not.

I would suggest as you have some experience of the work, but feel the need for a revision of the basics perhaps (?) that you back track and take a look at the level 3 modules of AAT. No need to sit the exams if you dont want to and indeed no need for all the textbooks. You could just go for the Q&A books and work your way through them and see how you go.

Kaplan are pretty good at supplying lots of questions in their Q&A books, as opposed to the what can seem very dry and boring textbooks. Ive posted a code on here before which gets you a discount for ordering and just choosing the Q&A books for each topic are relatively cheap. The code still works even though it was meant to be a one off type code. Do a search for it. If you cant find it, nudge me on 10th and I will get it for you (sorry totally battered with work at mo...VAT return ever nearer and two new clients to do in 4 days what is 3mths work). You could go back to level AAT 2 if you felt the need, although I dont think its necessary, besides the level 3 books cover some of it in part as a revision thing. Other resources to try - Ive head good things about Osborne Training - they have some free resources online. or again go for the Q&A books. (I have no discount code!).

You could try ebay for old books, but be aware that some of the content will have changed (eg the way discounts are applied/tax regs and limits), but the basics you can still learn from.

HTH
