How to record overpaid authorized capital value?
Permalink Closed

A single share holder company with 10,000 as the authorized capital value...

The shareholder asked another company who owes money to him to deposit to the company bank account but 25,000, which is 15,000 higher than the share value the shareholder should invest in the company.

What is the best way to treat this overpaid fund in the company accounting?

Authorized?

It appears you are asking on the wrong side of the pond.

The Q doesn't have sufficient info. Of course we could take a wild guess, but that would be so wrong, even though it may seem obvious. Besides, this Shareholder needs some serious advice on what he has suggested, as does the company who owe him (his company???) money. Circumventing the correct process is fraught with danger and could end up in a court case.

I suggest you get some (chartered)Accountancy and Legal advice.

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position
