Limited Company ceased trading December 2018.  Company dissolved on 30th April 2019.

Should the date ceased being Director be Dec or April?

Not entirely sure John but I would say that if he/she is the only director then the Company must have at least one Director in which case I would say April

Hi John
Agree with Doug.

Assuming this is for a S/A.

I would say that by virtue of the Companies Act he/she is a director until the company ceases to exist (or otherwise removed by another event), so my vote is 30 April

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position

Thanks Guys.  I would have said April as well but a thought was lurking (always dangerous) that HMRC might consider it as being December for SA purposes.
