Hi all, on my phone so will keep it short, how long do you usually wait after sending professional clearance requests before chasing up if you have received no replies?

Hi Doug
Depends on size of firm I guess. Probs about 2 weeks at this time of year, then follow up with a courtesy....'have you had my letter/just checking its not gone missing in the post?' type call. Did the client authority go in with your letter?

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position

Hi Joanne, told the client to contact them first and to give them authorisation to release information to me which they did before  I requested clearance, just coming up to 2 weeks so will leave until the end of the week before chasing, cheers
