Hope all good with everyone under the lock-down. I wanted to ask if anyone has info on Sage line 50 consolidated reporting perhaps online or software based? At present, I am using a lot of excel, EIR and other online combined for company reporting and group consolidation work. Problem I have is, I can fetch the data quickly using excel or database for company, but it does complicate when companies have department and need this for MI. Does anyone know a quick way other than excel like an online platform, where I can transfer all data without incurring much of a cost?
Hi John, have a look at Onion, it's possibly the sort of thing you're looking for. Ian, the software developer, contributes here so may be able to add more.
One option would be to use our software, Onion, which facilitates sophisticated departmental and consolidated reporting from the Sage 50 family of products at a very modest cost - normally £60 per annum per machine for unlimited Sage companies. There are other 3rd party providers available. The ones that spring to mind are Pendragon Systems, Proud Numbers and Cascade BI, but I'm not completely sure that they all offer everything you're looking for. A free 30 day trial of our software allows you to trial fully before having to buy a licence. Our helpdesk is free and we encourage its use during the trial period. Onion outputs and templates are Excel workbooks.
P.S. During lock-down we're providing 2nd licences free of charge to facilitate homeworking at no extra charge.
