HMRC Late Payment Interest
Permalink Closed

Hi - I am new to the book keeping role in the company.  Due to submitting an EYU the company has incurred late payment interest (small amount).  Not entirely sure nominal code to use Sage 50 accounts to record this small bank payment.  Would appreciate any guidance.

Hi

Please can you do an intro - we always ask newbies.

Usual stuff - what prof body do you belong to, do you work for yourself or in a practice/ firm, who is your MLR with, are you a bookkeeper or accountant, what qualifications, how long in role, where up to in your studies-what exams passed/with what body/in midst of doing, where based, what you did before this role? That sort of thing. Helps get to know you but also how best to pitch answers.

Also please add your FIRST name so that it appears under the signature bar on your posts?! Saves people looking it up(Edit profile --->signatures)

No. oh well.

Have a chat with your Accountant, that is what you pay them for, after all.

Hi

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I will update details but I think that as I am not a member of any professional book keeping body I will remove myself from the forum.  Apologies I thought it was a forum for help for everyone but now realise that it is clearly for professional book keepers etc.  Sorry for wasting your time.  As you said I'll ask my accountant that is what I pay them for.

Not a professional person just someone looking for help.

Was that really necessary Caron?  I'm not sure this site is just for professional bookkeepers, but even so, I'm getting rather peed off by remarks that come across as condescending to newbies. Can we not just #bekind to each other?

The lady didn't come here looking for freebies, she stated she was a bookkeeper (albeit new) and hadn't realised this was the wrong? forum to post on. She apologised and got the above retort in kind.

I had answered with a sage code. But she had already gone so I edited my comment.

Its her own business - shareholder doing the books. So a freeloader. Not a bookkeeper.

Plus before that, she saw my first post then went off without even a word. Now THAT was rude.
