I need to get a report from sage 50 pro showing P&L on a month by month basis which also shows same periods for prior year on month by month basis. Any idea how I get the report? Just actuals for comparison.

There are a number of third party programs, including ours, that provide this sort of thing for Sage. Onion Reporting Software, Proud Numbers, Cascade BI, Accounting Insights and Pendragon Systems Ltd are a few that spring to mind - there may be others. Most offer free trials so you can see what you get for your money.
Thank you for your response. I have seen a report such as this direct from Sage. No add ons used. Previous incumbent produced it. Just not sure how to get it.
Maybe they ran the comparative P&L report and then clicked on the icon to export the data to Excel and then did a tidy up each time? One thing to note is that it is balance based rather than transactional, which may be an issue in the early months of a new year before the year end process is run for the old year.
Good day, everyone, it's very cool that there are similar forms on which you can share useful information with each other. Luckily, I also have some helpful tips for you that you will surely appreciate. There is a great site << Link Removed >>where you can find many different great templates to help you run your business and increase your productivity. Manage finances with budgeting tables, it saves you time. For example, the recurring revenue waterfall Excel template gives you a great way to visually show the SaaS revenue waterfall.

With few exceptions for long term site contributors with a history of helpful posting of free advice, all assitance offered on the site is free. The link was to a site where one would pay for templates as such the link has been removed.

I have not seen such report in sage, you could run a monthly p&l for this year & then do same for last year. once you have done that you should be able to export that in excel and tidy things up. An alternative approach that i use is that i get monthly trial balance from assistant account and then i have created a bridge in excel which i use to create management accounts. Once it is set up, it barely takes 2 minutes to do monthly management accounts with year to date figures, previous year figures, budgets and variances etc.
