It's been a funny old year, and I don't think any of us knew this time last year that 2020 would be plighted by the Covid virus.

Hopefully next year will start to see a return to some sort of normality.

I wish all of you a lovely Christmas, and are able to make the most of it despite the restrictions.

Hi John, happy Christmas to you and everyone else on the forum

Certainly has been a strange year but actually the busiest i have ever been from the Accounting side of things.

Have a great Christmas!

Just been doing my annual renewal of Norton across three PCs... In their drive to get us all on subscriptions at extortionate renewal prices (circa £85 where its £12.99 to buy on Amazon) they make it more difficult every year to enter a code purchased retail. This will be the last one for me as last year was bad just trying to find where to put the code in but this year refusing to accept anything unless you sign up for auto renewal... Nope...

Don't even get me onto the Christmas arguements about whose bloody fish they are anyway.

One ray of sunshine of course is the tier 4 lockdowns keeping all the relatives well away from my stockpile of mince pies and pickled onions.

Merry Christmas John, Doug and everyone else who reads this.

Bah Humbug

Oh I love mince pies, but can't say the same for pickled onions I'm afraid.

A client's sister has just gone into making and selling pastry baked products, and 6 mince pies were on the menu, but even I've had to baulk at the £8 price tag.

I recently set up a laptop for one of my clients, which came with a years free subscription to Norton.  Only trouble is you had to put a debit card on file for auto renewal, which I couldn't avoid.  (You can cancel anytime but immediately lose the free subscription when you do)

Great to hear you've been busy Doug, I've lost one client so far, but it wasn't related to covid
