there were a few but they've not posted for a while.
amongst the old posts on here you will find numerous threads about Cima bods looking to go into practice. Also some light hearted banter between us ACCA guys and the CIMA ones. i.e. if CIMA is for management accountants how come far more ACCA people work as management accountants than CIMA one's. lol. (well, thats accountant funny anyway).
Your body is a lot kinder to its members than the ACCA but you will find yourself unable to make any reference to your professional body and your MLR will need to be through HMRC until you have a CIMA practice certificate. So, at least you can practice as an unqualified where ACCA people, even after passing all of the exams, cannot go beyond trial balance until they have completed three years post qualification in a recognised supervisory practice.
Have a search of the site, if you don't find the relevant threads post again and I'll take a look (no doubt by tomorrow I'll have remembered the right buzz words).
All the best,
Shaun.
