Deleting an employee on payroll caseation

The employee details page states: "If you want to change the details or delete this employee, please follow the relevant link." There is no relevant link to delete the employee, just "Change employee details >" wherein there's no ability to delete the employee. The employee in question has received no payments. This stems from attempting to cease the employer scheme, being told by the software to add leaver dates for all employees (there is just two employee) and then being told that I cannot enter a leaving date because there have been no payments and that I should instead delete the employee. Does anyone have any insight?
