If what you mean by virtual book-keeping is receiving invoices and other info from clients via email, then yes I offer this service, and I've found clients very keen to use it. I have some clients who rather than send me their invoices, actually scan a copy and email it to me. So far it seems to be working quite well (although the quality of the scanned documents isn't always clear).
I use sage and I'm actually in the process of looking into their remote book-keeping software, where both the client and myself have access to their accounts via the internet. Will keep users of this forum informed of my progress!
I've been using (or at least trying to use ) Sages' remote software service, and so far I've had nothing but problems with it. I'm not a computer wizz, which could be my problem, but have had several teething problems with passwords and security logins.
Just about getting their with it, and when it does work I can see it being of great use to both book-keepers and clients. Will save me time and money in the long run, so will stick with it.
Thanks guys. Sage is something I was considering and I will probably put it on the back burner for a while. I will look at other ways of virtual book-keeping though.
