This may sound a bit of a strange question, but how many clients is too many for a soletrader book-keeper working from home? I'm just starting out and I need to figure out how many clients I need to build a reasonable sized business. What I mean is I don't want to take on two very large book-keeping jobs and have no other time to do other work etc.
Hi GemmaI found when building my practice that it was best to take on smaller clients whose work did not take up more than 2 hours of my 40 hour working week (approx 5% of my time). By sticking to this principle, I was able to take on around 30-35 clients, which I believe is a healthy number for a sole-trader bookkeeping business which I am. Man
