Hi all,

Just wondered if any of you also offer a Sage training service?  I have used Sage for over 15yrs, am very confident and proficient using it and was asked today if I offer training.

Would I need a certificate or anything from Sage to advertise and what do you charge?  I would be grateful if you would let me know how you organise the sessions too.

Hi Jo

Yes I also offer Sage training in addition to my book-keeping service. I charge £250 for a one day course which covers everything from maintaining the customer and supplier ledger to reconciling the bank and Vat. I have written my own Sage notes summarising the main points of the course, which is useful for the client to refer back to after I've left. I offer telephone support after the course to sort out any problems. I've found the take up of the course really good and is a profitable sideline to my main book-keeper service.

You don't need any authorisation/certificates to offer Sage training courses. I believe there is an online Sage certificate you can do, but a client will soon be able to tell if you know what you're talking about so I've not bothered.
