Hi everyone. I have a IAB diploma in Accounting and advanced Book-keeping and am already registered with HMRC as self-employed. I have just become a newbi with this forum and i was hoping somone could help me in answering the following questions: 1) Do i need to register/notify HMRC that I will be doing book-keeping and year ends as an agent?- if so how do i do this and is there a fee? 2) What is the difference between IAB and AAT as in learning areas?
If you will be offering a paid book-keeping service you will need to register with HMRC (unless you are a member of a recognised supervisory body e.g. the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) or the AAT etc).
