new act - money laundering

Hi everyone

I have been told by older bookkeeper that I have to get covered for money laundering.  Has any heard about this and is it important - she told me to get info from HMRC I've had a look but sooooo complicated.

Let me know if it is important to get it

Louise

Yes it's important and you will need to ensure that you are covered and can demonstrate compliance with the requirements.

If you're a member of the IAB, ICB or AAT you will be able to do it through them as they are all designated as approved regulatory bodies.

Failing this will you will need to do it through HMRC at a cost of £95.
