Getting a car branded
Permalink Closed

Hi all

I've noticed a few accountants in my town have got their cars branded with their company logo's and contact details. Just wondering whether any book keepers here have done the same thing and whether it's brought them any business?

I live on a main road and it seems to me to be an inexpensive way to get my book keeping business noticed.

Thanks.

Georgina

Hi
I don't know about any bookkeepers using their car for advertising, but I do know some-one who uses it for dog grooming and it definitely works for her. Only thing is she works part time in a shop outside of the area in which she does her dog grooming. Some-one saw her car at the shop and gave her a call, they weren't too happy when she said they lived too far away ! She uses magnetic signs so she just makes sure she takes them off when she knows she'll be out of the area she usually works !

There's a well known accountancy franchise that encourages their franchisees to drive around in branded cars. If most of their franchisees are doing it it must be worth looking into. I like Claire's point about being able to take the signs off the car if needed. I can imagine some instances when driving a branded car could be a bit embarrassing, pulling up to a posh hotel, restaurant etc!smile

Getting your car branded does mean you have to watch how you drive. Rules me out then!!biggrin

Just a note of caution about magnetic signs - if you have magnetic paint on your car it can be affected where the signs are so you end up with a "shadow" when you take the sign off.

Thank you all for your comments. I'm pretty keen to get it done as it seems to me to be a cheap source of getting my business known. I will look into the exact method of branding though as I've just bought a new car and don't want to ruin the paint job!

Thanks again.
