I have passed AAT Certificate in Bookkeeping Level 2, City & Guilds Certificate in Computerised Accounts Level 2, ACCA-CAT Introductory Certificate and I am studying towards the ACCA-CAT Intermediate Certificate. I want to Become Self Employed Bookkeeper. Can I use the above qualifications?
You don't need any qualifications to become a self employed bookkeeper, although a background would help gather clients as anyone would like to know they are dealing with someone who is capable of doing their work. The quals you already have do seem good quality and relevant though, I would say it depends on your confidence to go out there and do it.
Your qualifications are certainly good enough to get you started, as McSpurren says, you don`t need any qualifications to become a self employed bookkeeper. What you need to concentrate on now is gaining some relevant experience.
Just be carefull if you aim on advertising your services as a member of AAT or ACCA, as these bodies have strict guidlines.
