I was just interested to know what seemed to be the most successful way of getting new business?
Unfortunately, a couple of my clients who are in the property business have slowed down and so I was looking into advertising for more business but don't want to waste money on advertising that didn't work so wondered what ways other bookkeepers found new business through.
Hi Joanne I would suggest go to as many networking events as you can, and maybe ask your client's Accountants for referrals as well - its worked for me. Also you may wish to consider any local magazines you get in your neighbourhood. Jane - Close Control
I have gained one new client by checking out the job vacancies. They advertised for a part time bookkeeper, I sent in my cv and included in my covering letter the proposal of perhaps using a self employed bookkeeper - it worked. I work 3 hours per day Mon/Fri on site, which is perfect for me as they are only 15 minutes away from me.
