Along with starting a bookkeeping business, I am planning on doing something else as well. These businesses will have different names obviously and I'll be trading as something like XYZ Services.
When I register my business, how do I go about it?
Do I give them the XYZ Services name (I think I would). What would I tell them that the business is etc as it's more than one thing/business, if you get me.
With registering a business we decided on a shortened version of my bookkeeping business name to have as the Limited Company as we have 2 different parts of the company and may expand over time to have more trading names, so we operate as Limited company name t/a the various other trading names (the reason we chose shorter Limited company name is with a long Limited company name would get very long when writing Limited Company name trading as other names on forms etc.)
When registering the business with HMRC don't you have to tell them what the business is?
This is the bit that confuses me because although the business would be called something like XYZ Services, it will be doing different things, sub businesses if you like to the main name as you stated (if that makes sense)
