Payroll

I need a bit of help and wondered if you would give me an idea how payroll is charged for.  I'm not asking for you to tell me what you charge, but a general going rate on whether it is per employee or per payroll or per report etc. Hope that makes sense.

Thank you
Angela

We've seen a few different ways - from per hour to a rate for each task.

The more common ones from what I know are:

  • Rates for set numbers of staff (eg. 1-5 £x, 6-10 £y)
  • Per payslip with a minimum charge (eg. £x per person, £y minimum per month)
  • Per payslip with an admin/payrun charge (eg. £x per person plus £y per payrun)
Often there are extra charges - for new employees, for leavers, year end reports etc.

Rates can vary a lot as the level of service can too - include holiday records etc.
