ICB 2 MANUAL EXAM
Permalink Closed

A question for the forum, I am currently studying ICB 2 Manual and plan to sit the exam in October The ICB will not yet tell me the exam location, Has anyone ever sat the exam in the PLYMOUTH area or had to travel as far as Bristol for example.

Regards

Steve

Hi Steve

I am not from that area, but when I took the ICB level 2 it was rather late on when they could confirm the location, they have to wait until the final booking deadline for the exam before they can plan which location as they need a certain number of people. Mine was around 1 - 1 1/2 hours travel by public transport because I don't drive.

I found out a month before the exam was due and it was in Leeds. I live in Chesterfield so it was around an hour on the train.

Hi Terri

They were quicker letting you know about your exam.

I had less then 2 weeks notice, I kept having to ring because if it was too far away would have needed hubby to take day of work to drive me and would have had to give a certain number of days notice if he wanted days holiday from work.

My exam was on the 10th June and the letter notifying me of the location was 14 May.

Seems like you were messed about.

Hi Steve

I have taken 2 ICB exams in Plymouth and they were both held at the City College, Kings Road

It would appear to be the college of choice for the ICB in this area as I had to travel from Tintagel, North Cornwall and another person had to travel up country from Redruth.

On both occassions there were 3-4 people attending for ICB exams (not necesserily the same ones). So I would think you stand a very good chance of taking your exam in Plymouth.

Hope this helps and good luck with the exam

Regards Bill

Thanks for the information everybody.
As Bill said they usually use Plymouth as an exam centre for the southwest so let's hope it's the same for October.
