ICB - Level 3 Computerised
Permalink Closed

Hi
I have just completed my level 1 & 2 computerised exams and I managed to get these done without a need for any study aids or books. I have just received a past paper for level 3 and I think I may need a bit of guidance as I don't want to get this far and stumble at the last hurdle from being overconfident. Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best book(s) I could buy to help get me through the final exam. I don't want to have to buy a complete home learning course if I don't have to.

Thanks for your help.

Regards

Mark

Hi Mark,

Have you considered the Sage Self-study books? I found the Sage V11 Instant Accounts Self-Study workbooks very useful for the level 2 exam and also more than adequate for level 3. You can buy the Sage V14 Instant Accounts Self-study books for £69.30 at Register Books (http://books.theregister.co.uk/). I think the Sage software is valid for only 180 days though.

Hi Mark

I would say before having to pay out money on books or course if the past paper comes with an answer paper don't look at the answers and do the past paper as if it is an exam.

Then look at the answer paper compared to yours and see if they are similar, this should pinpoint any areas if any that you struggled with then you may be able to just research these on google. This is what I did. Also if you are using Sage for your computerised exam I always find Sage Forum google this and mostly answers what you are struggling with in enough detail to understand it.

Hi Mark

Forgot to say is it the level 3 computerised that they have some manual questions, if you are unsure of these types of questions again would say that there is a lot of information on the internet that you get for free, or if wanting a text book would say Business Accounts by David Cox is very well explained.

Hi Alison

Thanks for the advice. I will do as you suggest as it seems the most practical option, I just wasn't sure if there was a specific book aimed solely at the level 3 computerised exam. I always forget about the Sage Forum, I will have to start getting into the habit of looking there.

Regards

Mark
