QB Pro range is good, you won't need Premier as that is aimed at accountants. I'm not sure what the latest one out is have a look on the Intuit Website. hope that helps,
BTW ... is it true that older QB versions cannot read the files from newer versions ? (ie: if I bought 2008 Pro, and a client was using 2010, I could not use their files ?)

I believe QB products are multi company, which you set up as normal, using File > New Company to create the company file and open the appropriate file for the client you want to work on
Hi Bob, Yes Bill is right, I have QB Pro 2008 and can have alot of companies on it. 2006 I don't think is available anymore and I'm not sure but I don't think you can back up an new version onto an older version, not sure about the other way round though.
The training DVD might be aimed at the USA market ie for tax etc, as its an american product, don't know whether it would be any good or not.
regards A

That makes the price a better proposition than SAGE.
Has anyone compared QB to VT ?
Training video ... yes, it's American ("Sales Tax" and "center") I think most accounts software can be used both sides of the Pond - isn't Sales Tax the same as our VAT ?
QuickBooks 2008 is the latest version available in the UK. I run QB Premier in my practice as I use the functions that are not available on Pro. I also run QB 2006 for multicurrency.
It should be noted that QB 2006 is still available from Intuit for customers requiring multi currency; 08 does not offer multi currency functionality.
It's worth becoming a QB Professional Advisor as it's the cheapest way to purchase the Premier software.
I hope that all makes sense- I'm sending the message from my iPod and can't easily review what I've already written!
