I have a client who has purchased 5 gift vouchers for £40 each and has given them to their employees to celebrate the anniversary of the opening of their shop. I was wondering if there were any special rules relating to these?
they are exchangeable for cash or a cash equivalent so they are P11D items on the employee's.

I think some of our younger contributors won't have any idea what a luncheon voucher is...I cannot remember seeing anywhere that advertises they accept them nowadays and yet there it is still tax free and you could save a weeks worth to get a packet of polos!
