year end on microsoft office accounting

Quick question re: above, it is my first time doing year end on this software, I have done it previously on sage, with sage it allows you to enter the trans for the nxt financial year, is it the same for microsoft accounting???

It's just so that I know until I actually carry out my year end I will know that it will be ok for me to carry on posting for the nxt year??
