HMRC lines for Agents
Permalink Closed

Morning People,

just a quick info post for anyone who hasn't realised the changes to the numbers at HMRC.

There is now a single dedicated line to HMRC for agents (previously there were 12 different numbers).

The new number is (0845) 366 7855 which covers PAYE & Self Assessment Queries.

There is however still a sperate agent priority line for tax credits (0845) 300 3943.

Sure that most of us knew this already but just in case, hope that it helps.

Shaun.

Hi Shaun,

Thanks for the info, it does help. Whether HMRC can help or not is a different question...( sometimes I just don't trust in the info they give)

Morning Attila,

I think learning not to trust what your being told is passing the final test in bookkeeping!

This one support line may of course work against us as if we keep getting the same person answering we may keep getting the same answers to our questions!

Not suggesting here that there will only be one person answering the phone, but, with all the current HMRC cutbacks you just never know!!!

If you lodge a form 64-8 with HMRC you should be ok to use that line.

You can get the forms from HMRC website.
