Advice needed......again

I know you'll all be fed up of me by now, but I'm looking for advice again on a new service I'm looking to offer.  Actually its not new, just some of the services I have always offered bundled differently for a specific group.

Ok, the service is aimed at the small business in the service sector (tradesmen, gardeners, etc).  The idea came when a friend was talking to me about a relative wo is a joiner but terrible at paperwork, especially sending out invoices.  In fact this guy has done loads of jobs and just never sent the bills.  I realise this is extreme, but after questioning a few in this sector I realised how bad it actually was.

Anyway, details of the service is here: http://www.kmbookkeeping.co.uk/newoffer.htm

Again, I'm really just looking for views and comments.  Do you offer this? Have you?How did it go?  or am I barking up the wrong tree totally?

Kris

HI Chris,

I really like the idea, there are plenty out there that don't do their invoicing etc on time, so good target.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Hi Kris,
I think it is a good idea to offer the service as most tradesmen are not very good at invoicing customers and your service will take that hassle away from them which i am sure will be a good selling point.
Best of Luck

I think you're more likely to get this type of work with an existing customer.
What I mean is after you have been working for someone for a while you could hint to them that their invoicing was not as good as it could be (speed wise) and you'd be able to take on that aspect of the work as well as what you were originally doing. I don't think someone would go to a bookkeeper just because they were slow at invoicing.

A lot of the work done on site already offer this service anyway. Do you work mostly to suit clients at their premises?

No, I work exclusively from my premises. My clients are all smaller businesses, most working from homes, with the odd exception.

Great idea - its called outsourcing and its what I do for Recruitment companies. We handle the whole back office, including invoicing, credit control, payroll etc etc etc
