Hi all, we have recently picked up a new client and they deal with penison payments etc, I have come up against 'Superannuation' does anyone know how it works and what calculations I would use?
I think its to do with pensions in Australia and/or pensions provided by the employer ie final salary kind of thing but would not wish to guess how they calculate such things!!
If it has something to do with universities, have a look at http://www.uss.co.uk/Pages/default.aspx ,that is the university superannuation scheme or http://www.essex.ac.uk/finance/forstaff/pensionschemes.htm
NHS superannuation: http://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/pensions lot of public sector companies (like NHS or local governments) operates superannuation scheme but it is really just a name for pension fund/retirement plan...the best you could do is to call the pension fund company concerned they will be able to help you.
