How much would a bookkeeping wesbite cost to have designed? How much are other people paying and who do they use?
I will be looking to have a website in the not too distant future and am just curious as to how much I can expect to pay. I have done my own (football related) websites in the past but they don't too good. They were mainly just to get information out there for a level of footbal not previosly available on the net.
I have looked at a lot of the websites of other forum users and these would likely be beyond me as I've just been using Microsoft Frontpage and even Excel.

Never buy black socks from a normal shop. They shaft you every time.
We recently started offering this service (the shameless advert begins here). We charge £199 for a 4 page website, domain name, hosting for a year and 5 email addresses.
Personally I think this is a reasonable price for an established UK web designer.
If you are looking for a really low cost web presence there are a number of options:
1. Try a local college, there are always students looking to build a portfolio and will do the work cheap or even free.
2. New web design business (as above)
3. Outsource it to India. This is becoming popular, but it is very easy to lose your money too, you need to be very careful if you choose this option.
