Sage payroll - which would pay 4 - 5 weekly.
Permalink Closed

Hi all,

I am in need of some advice regarding the sage payroll usage. I have got sage payroll bureau version 12.01.029 on my computer and would like to know if i can pay the employees 4 -5 weekly, which is unusual i have been told. as my company pays by its own payroll dates, not by calendar periods, i would like to know, if sage version i have got has this facility. Another thing is about the multi company usage. is it possible to know if mutli company facility is possible as we have 4 different companies using the same software.

hoping to get a response very soon. Thanks for reading!

Raj.

Sage has the option of 4 weekly, so not sure how flexible it is on the dates you run the payroll on.

However, the year is made up of 4 and 5 week months anyway - are your pay dates so very different?

Hi Raj

I think that you could set the employees up as monthly paid and run the payroll on the dates that you have outlined. I can't see that there will be any problem as you will only ever have one pay run in each tax month.

On the multi company useage, Sage sell it in batches of five, so yes you could have four companies running off of the same licensed software.

Regards

Mark

Each of your dates is in a single month, therefore it will be ok to run on a monthly cycle
ie 24 Jan in Jan, 21 Feb in Feb, using the last date you have noted.

It's not that unusual to pay at varying times of the month, you just need to ensure that there is just 1 run in each month.

Just to clarify - when you process the payroll you put/change the process date to your payroll date, for example in your case 21st Jan, 24th Feb etc, etc. The program will indicate the tax week/month on the bottom of the screen.
