I've just ended up on this website
http://www.taxrelief4escorts.co.uk/Income&expenses.html

After looking for answers to my ICB Self Assessment Exam. Not so much looking for answers more confirmation for what I think I know.

He He,

Are you sure you came across this site by accident Peasie? smile.gif It's very humourous! Did you read the page on choosing an Accountant?

And apparently bribes aren't an allowable expense.

Good find Peasie

Quote from the writer, Jolyon K Jolyon

"As fellow professionals, accountants and prostitutes have much in common. Anyone regardless of qualifications, experience, inter-personal skills or aptitude for the job can call themselves an accountant. Choosing one to share that elusive professional advisor experience can be a hit or miss affair. And there are many arcane mysteries surrounding the way they work, the way they charge and the jargon they use."

I have to admit I am really impressed with the accountancy content of this site: this has got to be one of the most well written accountancy sites I have come across.

Out of curiousty; Peasie: what did you type in the google search to get to this site?

I think I typed "escort services ayrshire". I can't remember now - and I've since cleared my search history on the google toolbar. Google must be getting better with its targetting. Any websites I visit that have Google ads these ads are all bookkeeping ads. Maybe they have extended it to its search function and it "knows" I've been looking for tax answers.

I didn't really type "escort services ayrshire". Why would I, I have all the best sites bookmarked already. I can't remember what I did type but it had to do with models and makeup and tax.

If you use Gmail and you are logged in, then Google turns on a "Personalised search" option. You can see this under the Goolge logo on the far left of your browser. There is a tiny button underneath it that gives you the option to turn it off. The downside is that it is not saved, so every session it turns back on again :(

Also, there is a fairly new piece of technology called 'behavioural tracking'. The cookies on your machine tell 'behaviour enabled' sites what you have been looking for, and then they place targeted ads everywhere you go. Fun stuff eh!

If you don't like what they think is personal to you (;) go into your browser options and delete all the cookies :)
