Am I missing something or has this got to be as hot as a runners jockstrap??

If something seems too good to be true.....

I looked at what this person had previously SOLD.
Three very small value items and one copy of Sage 50. Now all of a sudden they have 10 copies of Sage 50 Professional 2010 - private listings. Very suspicious.

VERY suspicious  ....      there was a Torrent download of that available (FREE)
off a couple of UseNets a few months ago.
This is probably someone using that to resell,  ie: PIRATE software.

I was also told that it was set to "limitless" (9999) Companies and Users.
If you try the SAGE site's Order pages,  it may work out at £20,000++  ???

Is that person still in eBay ???     confuse

I want to add something to this discussion that may help people spot scams like this. The software my company makes regularly pops up on so called 'torrent' downloads. None of it is real (so far thankfully).

If you see the word 'torrent' anywhere in a link, avoid like the plague. They are the primary way to distribute 'trojan horse' viruses.

The worst of them ask for some nominal amount, eg. $5, for unlimited downloads. Now they have your credit card details as well a new virus distribution outlet.

Speed reading is very real. There are people who naturally speed read over 1000 words per minute, compared to the average prson who reads around 250 words per minute. There are also techniques you can use to learn speed reading methods. I personally can read over 600 words per minute but I do not practice the techniques as often as I should or I am sure I could read over 1000 wpm. Many people who are natural speed readers do not know they are speed readers and assume everyone reads the same as they do or they learned early to not mention it because they were teased as the braniac of the school. So you may not know it even if your best friend is a natural speed reader.

I would steer clear of any eBay sellers of this type of software; if it's too good to be true, it probably is! Always best to buy direct from the producer.

Bob, I bought an unlimited co /user sage some years back. I now have to pay around £1000 per year but I noticed on the last upgrade they reduced it to 100 companies. If it is that expensive now I think I shall have a word with them as it is an expensive asset of the business!
