I am desperate for some advice. Having qualified, advertised (to no avail) and now started to Network (you may have seen recent post on that). I have heard from an accountant I met at Athena.
SCARY MONSTERS !!
She wants to meet me for a 1 to 1 this afternoon at her office.
I know I need to take my CV, but has anyone any advice for anything else I should take? Certificates? Practice Licence? Insurance?
I would take everything you've mentioned above as well as proof of ID just in case they want to take copies (not of your undies though!!) Maybe references/testimonials.
I can't think of anything else but I'm sure someone else will.
You know, as it is an accountant who wants to meet you, they probably only want to be reassured face to face that you are trustworthy and will deliver on time.
Hi Shirley I'm actually finding accountants to be my best source of work and have a meeting with one on Tuesday. I'd actively cultivate accountants if you want more work as they are very quick to refer once they trust you. Clare
