Hello

I have just accidently come across this forum and thought it would be a good one to join.
I'm a self-employed bookkeeper, well for the last 2 years now, with quite a wide range of clients from McDonanld franchisees, surf schools to builders.
I am a Member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and I have just enrolled in college to do my level 4 AAT. (Which I am already regreting with the 4000 word report on Internal Control of Accounting Systems, have a subject but no idea where to start!!!)
Anyway thats a bit about me!!
Tash

Hi Mark

Oops, you haven't seen my edit yet. I'll just pop out and pull up the drawbridge.

Hi Bill

That sounds like a good idea, don't want any of us foreigners invading your land

There seems to be a growing number on here from your county (or should that country) now

Hope you are doing ok

Regards

Mark

I'm coming to Cornwall for a holiday in October but have two questions.

1) Will you let down the drawbridge and let me in?

2) Do I need my passport?

Thanks

Forum members get a free pass.

No need for a passport, we're in the EU (well we use to get a lot of money from them, so we must be!).

Just to be clear, I am only joking, for the most part everyone is really friendly. Where abouts are you going?

Hi Bill

Sorry forgot that one

Things are not bad, enquiries are pretty quiet at the moment but current clients are going ok.

Good job that you have lowered drawbridge, that way you can let Zoe in and get her money

Hi Zoe

You will certainly need your passport, you need it for getting in and out. If you leave Cornwall going over the Tamar Bridge make sure you still have plenty of money on you because you will need to pay the tourist tax (sorry toll fee) to exit the county.

Have a good holiday

Regards

Mark

We're going near Wadebridge and I can't wait - I love Cornwall - it even manages to be pretty in the rain!

Wadebridge is just down the road from me (well it is relative to anywhere else in Cornwall).

Some of the best/ most dramatic times are when it's blowing a gale and you are on a cliff top (not to close to the edge though, we lose more visitors that way than any other!)

If you dont mind traditional/ folk music and you are anywhere near Boscastle on a Wednesday night, pop into the Wellington Hotel. It is usually a very good evening and the flood defences are all working now!!!

Thanks Bill - I'll bear that in mind and try not to stand too close to any cliff edges!

Hello

First chance to have a look on here, been bogged down with writing a report on "Internal controls & accounting systems" for college. It only has to be 4000 words long and I'm on 950!! Long way to go, and no idea how I am supposed to be writing it!
Rachel and Bill I am in Newquay, (for my sins!)
