ICB Self Assessment
Permalink Closed

I have just completed the ICB level III Self Assessment at last - ready to be posted back tomorrow.  I have to say I have found it rather tough - they haven't made it straight forward and I have had to presume quite a bit.  I have added quite a few note in so hopefully they will help explain why I have done things in a particular way and not bore the poor examiner!!

Will keep you all posted as to how I get on - I do so hope that I pass,  I completed and filed my own self assessment a couple of weeks ago and i have to say I really enjoy doing these so everything will be kept crossed over the next few weeks until I get my results.

Hello,
I got my results today online 95% partical - Just waiting to hear back from the ICB on the parts that I need to correct. Hopefully it won't be too much and I will the succesfully pass. It was such a tough exam so I'm pleased that I at least got 95%.

How long does it take to get the feedback through from the ICB and what's the process for resubmitting? I'm sure the ICB will explain when they write to me - but I'm keen to know what will be expected of me to correct the 5% I got incorrect.

Thank - you
Ann-marie

Hi Anne-Marie

95% impressive, I knew you would do well.

I don't understand why you still haven't passed and are having to redo some of it - do you need 100% to pass?

Just finished the L3C past paper this am so have ordered the real exam to be sent out tomorrow. Also doing the L3M exam on Monday. Be glad when it's all done!

You need to show them you are now aware where you have made the mistake and what you should have done. This will be done on a separate sheet of paper. This is what happened in my case. I'm not sure what happens if there is a mistake in the actual computations as my mistakes where in the tasks alongside the return. Should only be a couple of days between you seeing the result online and receiving the paper back. It will be another £25 to re-submit.

Thank you everyone :)

Phil - You have to get 100% to pass the self assessment exam, once it has been marked if you have most of it right, they will mark it as partial and return it to you to correct any errors - unfortunately as you will see from Peasie's post you have to pay another £25 to have it remarked.

Thanks Peasie for your help - think i'm just being impatient you know what it's like just want to get it back and hopefully passed :)

I've got it back now, so just need to do the amends, not quite as straight forward as I though it was going to be - so will have to spend a little time going through it when I'm not so tired and I can think straight.

Pleased it came back promptly though.
