Which textbooks to use for ICB level 2 manual exam
Permalink Closed

Hi, I completed and passed the level 1 manual exam and then went onto do the level 2 course, however due to the old style test centres I never actually did the exam as my local centre was not very local.  I went straight onto the level 2 computerised as you could do this from home and I have a young toddler.

All the courses were with Ideal Schools which have been brilliant but now the ICB is requiring both the manual and computerised exams to be taken I am revising the level 2 course again.  I was just wondering if anyone could recommend a text book to use along side the course materials I have.  I'm pregnant again now and finding it hard to remember things so thought reading a textbook through on a night when my little one is in bed might help things to 'stick' a bit more.  I really want to take the exam before I am due in February as I'll be too tired after that to do any studying for a few months!

I got through L2M ok with "Bookkeeping and Accounts 7th Ed" by Frank Wood and Sheila Robinson. Easy to read, well written, good use of colour and layout, revision tests, pitched at about right level, etc. Also chapters are short, ideal for dovetailing study around other activities.
If you alredy have all the course material, though, you might want something like a revision guide, I can't help with that I'm afraid, any body else?

Thanks, will try that book. If the chapters are short then I might even be able to read some in an afternoon when my little one has a nap.
