Need help with ICB L3C exam decision please
Permalink Closed

I'm sure I saw some discussion on the forum within last few weeks, from a couple of members who had just taken the ICB level 3 computerised exam. There was something I recall about how tough it was and needing full 2 weeks allowed, etc. I can't find it despite exhaustive searching. Can anyone tell me where it is saved?

Am trying to decide when to do the L3C exam. I'm taking L3M on Monday so originally thought I'd order the L3C exam to be mailed to me next Friday, after the L3M exam.

There will then be a month lag to L3C result and that's all I will be waiting for before upgrading membership and setting myself up for business. So I was wondering about ordering the L3C exam for this Friday to save myself a week of lost trading.

Trouble is, if I don't start the L3C exam until after my L3M on Monday, I will have already lost a few days of the 2 weeks given to do the L3C exam.

Downloaded L3C past paper this am and it does look pretty daunting, so I am wavering on what to do.

I'd appreciate any feedback from recent L3C exam takers on how tough it was and how much of the 2 weeks was used.

Phil

Hi Phil,

Well for September the averge time from us posting the paper, to the date received back completed, is 4. So take off a day each end for postage and it seems like most people get it on a Saturday/Sunday, and complete it straight away and send it back.

The average time for marking is 14 days, but September is not as busy as October so it might be longer but we aim to keep it below 28 days.

You have the past paper so that should give you an idea on how long it will actually take you. It is designed to be no longer than 3 hours work.

Hope this helps.
