Hi all,

Have come up with a new way to advertise and thought I would share as may help others as I always seem to come here for help but never give any back!?

My daughters school newsletter is now including a page of adverts as a way of generating income to cover the cost of the newsletter. I have taken a quarter A4 advert for £5 a month very reasonable considering around 200 copies will go out in my local area, also thought it would get my name known etc.

Might be worth a call to local schools?

Hi Pamela,

That's a really good idea. At least you know that most of the parents will read it unlike newspaper advertising that can be a lot more expensive, or cards in shops that the majority of people walk past.

Schools do this via the PA, churches do this when they have an event, there are so many magazines local and national, you've just got to find them.

PS the school playground is a good place to network!!

Our Doctors surgery appointments cards have advertising on the back of them, not very big but I allows look on the back and allows thought it was a good idea. Would assume you have to sign up for a year but its a good idea.
