Submitting a SA1 online

Hi there,

Does anyone know if you can submit a SA1 online to HMRC?  I need to get a new client set up asap and I was hoping by doing this online might help speed things up a bit.

Thanks
Ann-marie

You need to have an agent account with HMRC before you can registed clients.

You can just phone HMRC and ask them to send a TR out and explain the reasons why.

Although, what is it you're trying to do here, set up a new self employed person or apply for a TR for someone with income not taxed at source?

Hi there,

Yes I am already registered as an agent with HMRC - so that's start.

I have a new client who needs to be registered so I can complete a tax return for them by 31st Jan 2011 - they have a property.

I just wondered if this could be submitted online or whether it had to be posted to HMRC.

Thanks
Ann-marie

Given the timescales involved I would phone HMRC.
