So faced with a quote that is double the cost of the software just for one year what would be the general consensus as to the need for sage support.
We don't need it to find out what sage can do or to ask how to do things and I've yet to see it break so I'm wondering if we are making a wise decision to cancel after this years runs out.

If it comes to it you can take out Sage cover if you ever need to ring them. You would still have to pay for a full year then but if you never need ring them......

Depends if you are able to obtain support in other areas rather than direct with sage - ie all my clients receive support as I have priority link.
If you are accountant club these fees are inclusive.
Sorry cannot be clearer on subject.

Now this seems like a good idea almost like only taking insurance out if you need it, sounds good to me thanks.

This was the point really, they quoted £900 for the year and as yet we haven't used them except to ask why one of the users had no access to all the companies and they told us to speak to our IT dept.
