Support with Home Learning
Permalink Closed

Hi there, I am currently doing a home learning bookkeeping course but due to some delays because of family situations I have not been able to knuckle down and study.  I am finding it very difficult to study at home and am looking for some kind of advice or support - perhaps one-to-one or focussed study/revision sessions local to me that would help me to focus and get my studying back on track.

Any help most welcome, thanks

Have you just started the course?
I am doing level II of ICB manual bookkeeping at the moment and I find it to be a very enjoyable process...
Unfortunately, we live far away from each other, but if you want, we can exchange emails, if that's any help :)
Good luck and I hope your family situation will get better soon...

Aleksandra, thank you for your support.  You know, if I can't find anything else then maybe we could do mutual support sessions via Skype.  I'm not sure if this is something that would interest you or if you use that package at all.

Hi Laura

Prehaps contact your tutor at HLC as they are ICB members they may offer you 1 to 1 tutoring on the side, if they have time that is.

Alternatively look at the ICB website for colleges in your area, and see if they would offer you training.

Hello James

Thank you for your message.  Sorry, please could you clarify HLC for me - I've signed with Clever Cloggs but I have been finding it difficult to work alone but your idea of getting in touch with my local college is a good idea.  I have, in fact, already been in touch with a local training provider in my area and am waiting to hear back from them as they only train for accountancy not bookkeeping so hopefully they can help.  I think I just need to see it in front of me and clarified every so often.  Thanks again for your support.

Hi,

Sorry missread your subject as to who you were studying with. Same goes for Clever Cloggs though, however, not sure where you are based compared with your tutor.

Hopefully your local college could give you face to face support.

Hi James, thank you for this and in fact I have just heard back from one provider who are offering a 1-day bookkeeping course so I think I will do that as my refresher and take it from there and in the meantime try to find someone to provide support on a structured basis local to me.

thanks again, Laura
