Sage Instant Accounts v12 - Reporting
Permalink Closed

Hello all,

First post so bear with me, but I have a query about reports in Sage Instant Accounts v12.

We have various products which are linked to product categories (as expected) - there are only three of these as it happens and what I'd like to do is generate a report that shows months worth of information for sales against each category.

I assume it's possible because otherwise why would the category information exist in the first place?

However, under Products and Reports there is no way to achieve this.

Do I need to use the report builder, and if so how do I actually get data out of it? (I seem to be stuck with PDFs of the design!)

Thanks,

Steve

Thanks Maryin,

I'm afraid not! cry

Under the reports section for Products (as that's what I'm after) the required report is simply not there.

I've opened a report in report builder and re-saved it under "my products reports" but it still doesn't show up in this list.

I assume what I want would be under "Product Sales Reports", but as you can see, it's empty!

I believe with an older version it would be a new report would be required. Best way is to start off with a report similar to requirement and work from that. Sorry, not sure of one that matches perfectly.

Donna,

I don't understand how to actually get the new reports to run though, I can find the report designer, which works fine, but then can't do anything WITH the reports.

All I really want is to be able to dump all sales into a .csv so that I can total up different categories :(

possibly better using the sage integration reports rather than trying to dump to csv as I do find columns are sometimes mixed. Have you set up integration yet?
if stuck email is: info@completebookkeeping.co.uk

Just to make aware, version 11 is obsolete this year - support ends April 2011.

Let me know if need an upgrade quote !

Hi, have asked Sage on this to make sure of reply - please see below
You would need to edit the Product Sales report within the Invoicing module.

You would need to add the grouping for the Stock Code category and then move the neccesary varibles from the STOCK_CODE Header section into the STOCK_CAT Header on the report and also the varibles from the STOCK_CODE Footer section into the STOCK_CAT footer.
