business Mileage?

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick question, I normally claim mileage at the normal rate,(don't do alot of mileage anyway), I have just collect a cupboard/bookcase that I bought off ebay for my home office as I was in desparate need of more storage.  Can I claim the mileage to collect it, the round trip is 85 miles.  The cupbaord is strictly for my business not personal use.

Hi Amanda,

If you are claiming the cupboard as a business expense, don't see why not.

That was quick, I am claiming the cupbaord as a business expense, I thought I would claim the mileage but just wanted to check and see what people thought?

I agree, the cupboard is for business use only so you would not be completing the trip if it wasn't for yr business.
