Hi,

A client of mine is interested in using Xero for his bookkeeping. I've had a look on their website and had a play around with their demo data and all seems pretty good. 

Has anyone else used Xero? If so, how good (or bad) is it?

I just signed up as a Xero Partner because I really like it so I would say go for it.  It is really easy to use and it integrates with some great products too which is handy.

I've been using it for about a year for a dozen or so small companies.

Have been very impressed and looking to start moving our larger companies over during the course of this year.

The interface is deceptively simple, but is actually pretty fully featured once you dig in (for our needs at least).

The workflow of starting with imported bank data is new to us and the implementation is fast and intuitive - lots less keying.

Once they get our Banks set up for the feeds - supposed to be coming any time now - things will be even better.

There's also an API into the data which opens up the possibility of integration with our non-accounts systems...

Hi Steve,

The ICB tech support team have started using Xero so they can give software support on it. All good feedback from them.

I notice your an ICB member, you could call up and have a chat with one of them if you like.
