I am a member with the ICB and thinking of taking level 3 manual...Does anybody know the cheapest way about taking this exam without going through a course provider like home learning college as quite expensive now and want the qualification asap...took me just under 2 years for 1  and 2 manual...

Thankyou in advance

P.S finding clients is very frustrating especially when they dont reply!

Hi Jasmine,

Get past papers from the ICB to get the feel for the exams and also buy relevant accountancy texts for that level. The ICB have published their own but the information in them will be similar to other texts aimed at that level such as "Business Accounts for book-keeping and financial accounting courses" by David Cox (Osbourne books)

You don't actually need a course provider for ICB but some people find the support of a dedicated tutor and timetabled progression helpful in pushing them forwards (Reading accounting texts works best for me but not everyone is the same).

Good luck in your studies,

All the best,

Shaun.
