How to show NIC/PAYE payment in Sage Instant Accounts
Permalink Closed

Hi All,

We've just made a payment to HMRC for NIC/PAYE and I'm having a total mental block!  How do I show that we've made this payment in sage instant accounts?

Thanks

JT

I'd do a bank payment, from whichever account you used, using the N/C for your PAYE/NIC account (probably around 2220)

If you have all the payroll information, the month end payroll journal should be:

DR CR
7000 gross wages x
7006 Employer NI

Sorry, that posted before I had finished! As I was saying

Debit Gross wages 7000
Debit employer NI 7006
Credit net wages 2220
Credit tax and NI 2210

You then post the net wage payments from the bank to 2220 and the tax and ni payments to 2210.

Hope that helps.
