It is very difficult to talk about single entry in one thread .You must learn about this by the help of books and etc...

yes, they cunningly hide all sorts of information in books.

Which book on the subject would you recommend Adam?

Oh, and by the way, your IP address being banned and all of your previous messages deleted might depend on your answer!

I looked at the advice in another thread and my first thought was "this person is trying just too hard to help" - glad I'm not the only one suspects a rat.

Hi Peasie,

At best it's a person who knows absolutely nothing about bookkeeping or accountancy trying to put themselves accross as an expert. At worst it's the preparation stage for a spam attack where suddenly they give themselves a link which appears all over the site.

There have been a couple of posts where I have thought, ok the guys legit (such as "Just a thankyou to B.K.Forum" where he actually states he knows nothing about bookkeeping but wants to learn... Then his next post is giving completely incorrect advice as though he's an expert in "How to do a payment of an invoice with cash and cheques").

Jury's out but the executioner is already preparing the case for Site admin to justify why I removed this user and deleted all of their posts. Adam still has the opportunity at the moment to redeem himself but it's not looking good.

I'll have a go:

The single entry system is where you get a load of bank statements and no explanation at all to suggest what the entries relate to.

or

The single entry system is where your client brings their books to you, but doesn't take them back.

Hi Nick

Like the definition smile

Shaun, my immediate reaction was the same as yours and Peasies. The problem is that it is very difficult to identify if Adam is genuine, because it is clear that english is not his first language. This leads to some confusion if he is trying to make a real point.

As you have said before, perhaps the way round a covert "attack" is to restrict any link attachments, signature links etc until a member achieves a minimum status level, like "Superior Being" status, which surely must be your next status up grade biggrin. Personally i am looking forward to achieving Minor Diety status

Bill

I think technology does that to people in general, I see posts on FaceBook and have to really concentrate to understand what is being said.  I know these people, I know they are British, yet English doesn't seem to be their first language.  Spelling, punctuation and grammar go out of the window - lol & rofl!

I was just looking at the most recent posts and the last person to post on the top three threads at that time were Bill. So looking down I read "Wella, Wella, Wella". I simply had to burst into song. This might not make sense to most folk as I realise the song I was singing is over 30 years old. Made me chuckle anyway. I'll get me coat.

Hi Peasie

Have to move to the top of the list again smile

In the theme of songs and Nicks point about how the english language has changed

In my other life I am involved in some folk music circles (It is not my only taste in music, i hasten to add), and Nick reminded of a song I know (written by a Scot)

To hear the original version follow the link (but only if you are not easily offended)

Edit Peasie Tell me more, ust realised you must be thinking of a song from the film Grease
